Students Survey Work
Once you have obtained all your permissions and designed your survey you will be in a position to carry out your survey work. This text is intended to provide you with a check list to help you complete a survey.
Check the weather forecast to ensure that you will be able to survey and pack the appropriate kit e.g. waterproofs, sunblock, water, walking boots etc
Check the tide times if you are working on the shore. 7 days,

Inform the land manager that you will be conducting survey work on their site during that day and what times you will be on site. Inform them when you are entering the site and when you leave the site.
You should always survey with at least one other person for safety reasons and inform others of when and where you will be and when you expect to return.
If you have a mobile phone take it with you but do not rely on it as not all areas have reception!
