Copyright Sefton Coast Partnership 2002 | Ainsdale Sand Dunes National Nature ReserveThe nature reserve forms part of the Sefton Coast, the finest dune system on the North West coast of England.Its 508 hectares (1256 acres) contain large areas of dunes, pine woods and beach. English Nature is managing these areas to conserve their valuable natural features including the many rare and interesting plants and animals which depend on them. Sand Dune Restoration English Nature are in the process of identifying the best way to manage part of the seaward area at Ainsdale Sand Dunes National Nature Reserve. In order to determine the best option for future management of the consultation area and to meet legislative requirements the need for an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of proposed options has been identified. The Environmental Impact Assessment is available for download of the English Nature website.
