Local History and Archaeology events on and around the Sefton Coast
Every year the Council for British Archaeology encourages archaeologists to open their doors to the public and invites them to get involved in a wide range of different activities relating to the past. Details of National Archaeology Week activities throughout Britain can be found by logging on to the Council for British Archaeology's web page at www.britarch.ac.uk/naw. Better still, join the CBA and receive a regular magazine packed with information about archaeology in the British Isles.
If you are between 8-16 years of age and would like to know more about archaeology in Britain and how you can take part in archaeological activities, why not join the Young Archaeologists' Club. There is lots of information, including how to enter for the 2007 Young Archaeologist of the Year Award, on the Club's Web page at www.britarch.ac.uk/yac
