Use the arrows to pan around the map, the centre button re-centres the map at the start position.

The + and - bar zooms in and out of the map.

The MAP button brings up the simplified map, the SATELLITE button brings up aerial photography and the HYBRID button brings up a combination of both map and aerial photography.
