Nature and Wildlife - Awards The Sefton Coast Partnership has received several conservation awards in recognition of best practice in management and dissemination. 1989 – Sefton Council, 'Councils for Wildlife' National Winner. 1993 – Sefton Council, English Nature and National Trust. 'Eurosite Quality Award'. 1997 – English Nature 'Eurosite Quality Award'. 1997 - Royal Birkdale Golf Club. Regional winner of BIGGA conservation award. 1999 – Sefton Council 'Life Week' Award for dissemination. 1999 - Reserve Forces and Cadets Association. Runner up MoD Sanctuary Award for the management of the Altcar Rifle Range estate. Since 1997 Sefton Council Leisure Services have won several Encams Seaside Awards from the Tidy Britain Group for beaches at Lifeboat Road (Formby), Ainsdale and Southport.
