Sefton Coast Partnership Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) Plan - 2006-2011

On the 6th June 2006 the Sefton Coast Partnership Board gave their final approval to the SCP ICZM Plan 2006-2011 and Action Plan, and that it is published on the SCP website.

The Sefton Coast Management Plan (Second Review) 1997 -2006 has been replaced with the Sefton Coast Partnership Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) Plan. The new plan (a voluntary non statutory document) is very important as it will steer the work of the Partnership over the next five years. The contents will be kept under yearly review when the draft annual report is produced.

View the plan here: -ICZM Plan 2006-2011
A summary of the responses is also available: - ICZM Responses

The SCP would like to thank all those who responded to the final draft and if you have any comments between now and the publishing of the 2006 annual report in April 2007, please email iczm@seftoncoast.org.uk

The Sefton coast management plan (SCMP) was a document that describes the aims and objectives of the Sefton Coast Management Scheme (SCMS). When the SCMS evolved into the Sefton Coast Partnership the plan was adopted and partners continued to work to it.

The life of the SCMP has drawn to an end, with the document running from 1997 to 2006.

Both the original Sefton Coast Management Plan and the review can be downloaded here.
